Menii FAQ

Questions about Menii.

Find answers about bringing in a menu, making changes, publishing it online and printing it.

What can I edit?

Change menu items, prices, descriptions, wording and venue details whenever you need. There is no limit on changes, and edits are not charged separately.

Do I have to upload a menu?

No. You can bring in a PDF, photo, printed menu, chalkboard picture or typed list. You can also start a new menu from scratch.

Do customers see a PDF?

No. Menii turns it into a clear online menu that customers can read before they visit. You can also create a printable menu for the table.

Can I print the menus myself?

Yes. Print them at the venue, in your office or at home, using the printer, paper and ink you choose. You decide when you need a fresh set, and Menii does not charge per printed copy.

Is Menii online ordering?

No. Menii does not take online orders, arrange deliveries, collect payments, run loyalty schemes or replace your till. It starts with the thing customers look for first: your menu.

Will Menii connect to my till or online ordering system?

We plan to connect Menii with tills and online ordering services later, so you can keep menu items and prices in one place. We will explain which services work with Menii and how they work before they become available.

Is it free to start?

Yes. You can bring in your existing menu or create a new one, then check and edit a Menii draft for free. Longer term, Menii will have a simple monthly price per venue, shaped with feedback from the first venues using it. Nothing is charged without you agreeing first.

Do I need to manage everything myself?

You stay in control. Menii brings in your menu and gives you straightforward tools to check it, make changes, publish it online and print it.

Will anything go public straight away?

No. You check the import before anything goes public or gets printed.

Can Menii show allergens to guests and give staff a sheet?

Yes. You confirm allergen information on each dish. Guests see it on the public menu after you publish. Staff allergen sheets use only published menus and menu items — draft changes are not included. After publishing changes, download or print an updated sheet so your team has the latest information.

Do I have to set allergens before I publish?

If you changed menu content, yes — every included dish must be set before that change can be published. Your previous published menu stays up until then.

What about AI or import suggestions?

Suggestions can appear, but they stay unset until a person confirms. Menii will not publish allergen information from a suggestion alone.

Does “None of these” mean the dish is safe for someone with an allergy?

No. Choose this only after checking the recipe and ingredient labels and confirming that none of the 14 listed allergens need to be declared for that dish. It does not mean the dish is allergen-free. Cross-contamination and allergies to other ingredients still need to be considered. Guests with allergies should speak to staff before ordering.

Are dietary labels the same as allergens?

No. Dietary labels do not replace allergen information. For example, a vegan label does not guarantee that a dish is safe for someone with a milk or egg allergy.
